Pollença and Puerto Pollença’s Market
Who doesn’t like going to the market? It’s a tourist attraction like any other, but probably the tastiest. Visiting the market of the place that you've gone on vacation can give you a lot of information of the ’present’ of the place you are at.
In all the villages of Mallorca a market is held weekly. All the residents expect this moment, because in the streets dozens of stalls with fresh island products are installed. It is also a meeting point, as a social act to which they are happy to attend week after week. Pollença has two markets. We highly recommend both. The de Pollença’s one is held every Sunday between 8 am and 13.30. It has 300 outlets and there you will find what you seek. We guarantee it: food, handicrafts, shoes, clothes, plants, souvenirs...
Puerto Pollença has its own market too. It’s held every Wednesday at the same time in the Plaza de Miquel Capllonch, next to the Church of the Mare de Deu del Carme. Their existence is more recent, it was launched in 1986, but in influx of visitors is equally representative than the previous one. It has 197 outlets also very diverse.
Write it down: you have an appointment with the best products of the island every Wednesday and Sunday. Enjoy it!
